The 1981 Christmas Special was the first new episode since series 5′s Christmas Special in 1979, as the show took a short break whilst Peter Sallis filmed the Granada TV sitcom “Leave It To Charlie” Such was the popularity of the show at this time “Whoops” drew an audience of 17 million, only beaten to the Christmas TV ratings no. 1 spot by Coronation Street.
Summary
The trio decide to look up some old school friends, to try and recapture the spirit of Christmas from the past.
