Fawlty Towers – The Builders – 1975
As a tribute to David Kelly who passed away last week, aged 82, we go back to 1975 with a classic episode of Fawlty Towers.
The Builders was the second episode of the first series and a true classic that saw all the characters in top form, helped along by David Kelly as Mr O’ Reilly the hapless builder.
Summary
Nothing more straight forward block one door up create another. When there’s building work to be done at Fawlty Towers Sybil elects Stubbs Builders to carry out the work, however tight fisted Basil instructs cut price builders O’ Reilly to carry out the works.
However when a misreading causes the incompetent builders to mess it up spectacularly, Basil must try to remedy the situation before Sybil finds out.
Everybody is in spectacular form, but the highlight has to be Sybil’s confrontation with O’ Reilly.
