Basil Brush Will Join Mel And Sue
For some years there have been calls to bring back The Generation Game. In 2017 it was announced that a re-booted version would hit our screens.
Latest news is that filming of a revamped Generation Game has begun and that a series of four episodes should hit TV screens around September of this year.
However there is a twist in the tale quite literally. During filming the first episode it was reported that kids favourite Basil Brush popped up to surprise hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins. His puppeteer Michael Winsor said: “It’s top secret at the moment. We are doing pop-ups to surprise Mel and Sue. “We did one episode and he was such a success we ended up doing four.”
Fans of the original series will remember during Jim Davidson’s time at the helm there were regular appearances from both Mr Blobby and Inspector Blake of On The Buses fame.
