Tomorrow: 7th July will mark the 60th anniversary of Hancock’s Half Hour launching on TV. As readers will be well aware the BBC are marking the occasion later this year with a series of one off comedy specials. Under the Landmark Comedy Season unbrella, running accross the BBC’s TV channels this will air later this year.
Today the BBC have announced that Goodnight Sweetheart will be returning for a one off special. We left Gary Sparrow 17 years ago stuck in the 1940’s. Writers Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran said the character Gary Sparrow had been “trying for the last 17 years to find a way back to the present”.
