A Fish Called Wanda, 1988

A Fish Called Wanda was the hugely successful  American-British heist comedy film.  Co-written by ex Monty Python star John Cleese, the film was also notable for a performance of another ex-Monty Python star: Michael Palin.

The film was director Charles Cricton’s final film and was nominated for three Academy Awards including Best Director and Best Original Screenplay, winning Best Supporting Actor for Kline. Cleese and Palin won BAFTA Awards for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor for their performances.

Summary

In London, four very different people team up to commit armed robbery, then try to doublecross each other for the loot.
