We reported a while back that the BBC were planning to resurrect Comedy Playhouse. Originally of course it started life as Galton and Simpson’s Comedy Playhouse.
On Tuesday 29th April at 11.05pm on BBC1 you can see Ray Galton and Alan Simpson discussing where it all began in Comedy Playhouse: Where It All Began, a clip-crammed documentary celebrating the strand’s illustrious legacy.
Of course the legendary writing duo also scripted a similar show for ITV, here’s a clip from episode five of that series.
