The Smith And Jones Sketchbook, 2006
Following on from the success of The Two Ronnies Sketchbook in 2005, the BBC decided to try the format with another successful comedy duo: Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones.
Like The Two Ronnies their 1980’s television series was sketch based and a huge success so it made sense to try the sketchbook format again. Like The Two Ronnies it ran for one series of six parts. However unlike The Two Ronnies Sketchbook, The Smith And Jones Sketchbook has to date not ben repeated since it’s original transmission.
Summary
Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones return to look back at some of their most memorable sketches. Some of the famous head to head scenes were re-recorded with new material written especially for the Sketchbook series.
