Often overshadowed by Ronnie Barker, this week we’re taking a lok at the work of Ronnie Corbett.
Sometimes these things just have to be done. With Ronnie Barker having passed away in 2005 not long after the making of the Christmas Edition of The Two Ronnies Sketch Book, Ronnie Corbett decides to go it alone in this one off comedy sketch show, commissioned to celebrate Ronnie Corbett’s 80th birthday.
It was one of the must see TV programs of Christmas 2010 and a great shame there have not been more.
Supported by the creme of British Comedy Talent, Ronnie Corbett brings us a selection of sketches that wouldn’t have been out of place in The Two Ronnies featuring everything from a superannuated super-hero, to a stage-struck dog. Add in a sprinkling of one-liners and one of his famous sit down monologues and you have a show.
