Karl Pilkington is Ricky Gervais’ straight talking friend and producer who shot to fame with his tell it as he sees it take on various locations in An Idiot Abroad.
The Moaning Of Life takes a similar idea in that Karl goes travelling but to places of his choosing and there’s no Ricky Gervais or Stephen Merchant in sight.
Two series, one of five episodes and one of six were screened between 2013 and 2015.
Summary
The Moaning of Life sees Karl Pilkington visit other countries of his choice, in order to see how they face up to some of life’s biggest issues with their cultures and customs. He also reassesses his life in his own unique way, now that he has reached the age of 40, which he considers to be “middle age”
