Frasier, 1993
Hugely successful spin off from Cheers, Frasier was an American sitcom that was broadcast on NBC for eleven seasons, premiering on September 16, 1993, and concluding on May 13, 2004. The show was picked up over here by Channel 4. We have not been able to confirm UK transmission dates but would assume it ran just behind those of the US, anybody knows for sure please email us.
The series has received wide spread critical acclaim and is one of the most successful spin-off series in American television history.
Summary
The series follows the story of psychiatrist Frasier Crane (whom we first met in Cheers) as he returned to his hometown of Seattle and starts building a new life.
However his plans for a new life as a bachelor are complicated when he is obliged to take in his Father, a retired Seattle Police Department detective, who has mobility problems after being shot in the line of duty.
