James Bond And The Satirist

As the new Bond film was released this week we’ve been looking at some of the humorous side of the franchise and what comes from it.  We started earlier in the week with some of those great comic moments from the films themselves, earlier we looked at the original Casino Royale.

For this last post on the subject we are going to take a quick look at some more famous James Bond send ups.

The name’s Bond – Basildon Bond

For many years Russ Abbot entertained millions with his Madhouse and Rus Abbot show.  One of the most popular characters was a guy called…Bond

In the 1980’s even these guys were monkeying around with 007

Then when Sean Connery came out of retirement for one last Bond this guy made an appearance

He went on in the 1990’s to have a brief stint in the secret service with a little help from Barclay Card

Little did we know he would explode onto the big screen 20 years later in a big budget ultimate bond send up
