Nice Time, 1968
An early Kenny Everett sketch show produced by John Birt who would go on to be a future Director General of the BBC.
Originally the show was produced just for the Granada region. However, Nice Time proved so popular that it was extended to the whole ITV network. It eventually ran for twenty eight episodes over three series between 1968 and 1969.
The series will best be remembered for giving young DJ Kenny Everett his TV break.
Summary
Nice Time comprised a collection of wacky sketches and inventive stunts, built around viewers’ requests for favourite moments from comedy films.
