Gavin And Stacey Hits The Spot, Whilst Outnumbered Goes Woke
Over the festive period The BBC has swept the board in the ratings battle.
Gavin and Stacey’s final episode hit 12 million viewers topping the Christmas Day TV ratings
with the media and fans alike heaping praise on it. The independent reported fans saying they have “goosebumps” calling it an “absolutely perfect”
Whilst the day after we were treated to another comeback in the form of the ever popular Outnumbered.
Sadly it didn’t follow the success of Gavin and Stacey. The hugely successful sitcom had relied on the improvisational comedy of the children so fans were eager to see how it would work now they are al grown up. sadly they were treated to a woke fest. This was supposed to be a comedy yet the special centred around Pete (Hugh Dennis) revealing his prostate cancer diagnosis to his now grown-up children Jake, Ben and Karen. Not what you’d expect in a sitcom. Of course there was the inclusion plot Karen being fired from her third job after breaking up with her girlfriend.
The BBC describe the episode as a gathering “in a moment of adversity” for a traditional family Christmas. Whilst viewers took to Social Media to express dismay.
Sadly Gavin and Stacey bowed out, but there now would seem little appetite for another Outnumbered reunion.
