The BBC Are 100 Years Old Today
Yes that once great bastion of broadcasting has reached 100. Reading in the news we see that they are to celebrate with “a week of special programming. The 100th anniversary TV schedule will include some of the nations favourite programmes including Jodie Whittaker’s last appearance as Doctor Who on Sunday.” Then we looked at the schedule we won’t bore you with it so here’s the link if you want to be disappointed.
One hundred years old, some of the most popular TV shows ever made and that was the best they could do? They’ve produced some of the greatest sitcoms ever made for a start. So to mark 100 years of BBC we will raid our archives and have a look back at just some of Auntie’s finest comedy gems that for the moment seem to have been forgotten about.
