Jungle Patrols With The Concert party

It Ain’t Half Hot Mum, The Jungle Patrol, 1974

Coming from the very first season of the popular sitcom Jungle Patrol was the fifth episode of the eight that made up the first season.

It sees the concert party embark on survival course.  Look out for excellent cameos from Geoffrey Lumsden better known as Captain Square in Dad’s Army and Mohammad Shamsi with his scene stealing appearance as the Game Warden.

Summary

Sergeant Major Williams, disapproves of soldiers as entertainers, in an attempt to toughening the men up he leads them on a survival course in the jungle.

But who will have the upper hand? Whilst the sergeant major is surviving on berries and jungle water the men are having cups of tea and cooked meals provided by the local staff, who are following them. He cannot understand why they seem so much fitter than him.

To add to the Sergeant Major’s troubles they arrive at the house of the local District Commissioner, who is hosting Reynolds and the Captain.  He likes the idea of a concert party and, to Williams’ dismay, asks them to put on a show for him.
