Emery At Large

Emery At Large, 1964

Many people will remember Dick Emery from TV and sketches such as these

However how many people remember he also had a radio show? Emery At Large.

After he began his TV show in 1963, a year later Emery could also be found on the radio.  Between 1964 and 1967 he would make 35 shows broadcast over 3 series.  A year later in 1968 he followed it up with one series of What About Dick Emery? for Radio 2

Like his TV shows Emery At large took the form of a sketch show spoofing everything from Harley Street doctors to dodgy lonely hearts ads.
