Only Fools And Horses – Christmas 1993

Only Fools And Horses, Fatal Extraction, 1993

Only Fools And Horses as an ongoing TV series had come to an end in 1991.  However, the series did continue with it’s annual Christmas Specials, these became the must see TV event of the festive season.

The twelfth Christmas instalment, Fatal Extraction is possibly not the strongest of the specials, but it would be the last outing for Del Boy and Rodney for three years.

Summary

Raquel is frustrated with Del who is spending his evenings at the casino, frequently returning past midnight.  Rodney raises her concerns to Del, who explains he is brokering a deal to get hold of some Russian ex-military Camcorders.  Meanwhile Rodney and Cassandra have decided to try to have a baby.

When Del comes home at 8.15 am – stopping only to change his clothes, it’s the final straw for Raquel who leaves him.  Seemingly unaffected Del organises a date with Beverly, his dentist’s receptionist.  However after much persistence from Rodney and Uncle Albert he cancels it.

Realising what he is missing Del invites Raquel back.  Whilst celebrating, he drunkenly starts a riot on the estate.  All seems calm, but it seems Del might have a stalker – Beverly.
