The original Basil Brush show was a huge hit with family audiences from 1968 to 1980.
This Christmas edition from 1974 comes from perhaps the best remembered period; the Mr Roy years (1973 – 1976). It was broadcast in December of 1974, just a few weeks after the ninth series had finished it’s run.
Summary
With the help of a magic carpet and the Pied Piper (‘Mr Peter’), Basil travels to a magical world of fairy tales where he meets characters from nursery rhymes and Father Christmas.
