Peter Kay’s Car Share Returning
Peter Kay’s hit sitcom Car Share is to return, well sort of. The funnyman who is currently on a break due to “family reasons” attended a Blackpool screening of two new episodes of Car Share.
Making a brief during one of the screenings, Peter thanked the audience for supporting the Lily Foundation and raising money for mitochondrial disease.
“It’s]very kind of you, I appreciate it. Enjoy the last ever episode of Car Share. Don’t tell anyone the end. Or tell anyone about any hedgehogs,” he told the crowd.
The first episode will air Bank Holiday Monday May 7th at 10pm. However there is a twist the episode is completely unscripted. Following on from the improvised special series two of Car Share will air on BBC1 on Monday nights.
On Bank Holiday Monday 28th May the repeats of the second series will conclude with the final brand new episode. A charity screening of the finale is said to have “thrilled fans” when it was aired in a series of showings in Blackpool earlier in April.
