It’s Awfully Bad For Your Eyes Darling had first appeared as a pilot episode in April 1971, before going on to run for a six part series later the same year.
It marked an early TV appearance for a young Joanna Lumley. It’s also notable for an appearance as actor from someone who would go on to have significant success as a sitcom writer : Jeremy Lloyd. It’s also notable for one of the series’ writers who herself went on to become a famous author of romance novels: Jilly Cooper.
Sadly like many shows of the time only one episode is still believed to exist in the archives.
