One Foot In The Grave, In Luton Airport, No-One Can hear You Scream, 1990

When times are hard we’ve always been able to rely on comedy to pull us through.  the days of strikes etc in the 1970’s offset by some of TV’s greatest sitcoms.  The recession of the 1990’s more great sitcoms and one in particular ‘One Foot In The Grave’ with it’s dark overtones came out as one of the all time classics.

In Luton Airport, No-One Can hear You Scream kicked off the second series of the popular sitcom just seven months after the first series had ended.

In true Meldrew style in gave the Meldrews a new home setting and some new/old neighbours.

Summary

Victor and Margaret return from their holiday only to find that their baggage has been sent to the other side of the world.  If that wasn’t bad enough Mrs Warboys has some more bad news when she informs the Meldrews that their house has burned down and consequently been demolished after it was so badly damaged by fire.

Six months later, they move into a new house and hold a housewarming party.  they also meet a familiar face, only to discover they are neighbours!
