The Adventures Of Parsley, 1970

Spin Off from the cult kids classic “The Herbs”.   The Adventures Of Parsley ran for thirty two five minute episodes, between 1970 and 1971.  It was broadcast in the slot that brought to a close Children’s TV for the day. preceding the early evening news.

Unlike in The Herbs the animal characters talked and a typical episode would feature dialogue between the overenthusiastic Dill the dog and the more laid back, deadpan Parsley.  Other characters from The Herbs popped up in the show from time to time.

Summary

The Adventures Of Parsley was exactly what it says on the tin.  The adventures of Parsley the lion and his friend Dill the dog.

Opening credits featured either Parsley the lion roaring or Dill the dog barking with their head in a circle, in parody of MGM’s logo.
