The Office, Christmas Specials, 2003

The Office had gone from slow burner to international hit.  Having run for two series there was a demand from viewers for more.

Writers Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant declined to write a third series, instead they opted to bring the series to an end with two extended Festive Editions.  This would be a trend the two writers would follow with other projects.

The episodes continued the success enjoyed by the series winning various awards.  These included: two British Academy Television Awards, a Royal Television Society Award and a Television Critics Association (America) Award.

They were also nominated for aBritish Comedy Award and a Primetime Emmy Award.

Since we last left THE OFFICE, David Brent has released a single, Dawn has gone to America, and Gareth has been promoted.

We now follow David Brent on the road in his quest for fame, Gareth in his new role as General Manager, and Dawn in America.

Meanwhile Tim is still suffering in the office, still battling with his feelings for Dawn. It is announced that she is coming back for the christmas party, will old flames still be burning?
