Bad Move, 2017

With all the daytime TV relocation shows it was only a matter of time before someone came up with a sitcom based around the idea.

Bad Move, an idea from comedian Jack Dee and comedy writer Pete Sinclair, is exactly that.  A sitcom based around a less than successful relocation.

To date (2019) Bad move has ran for thirteen episodes over two series.  As well as being classic comedy watch out for a classic opening theme “In The Country” from Cliff Richard and The Shadows.

Steve and NickyRawlings are both on their second marriages.   Having watched all the TV relocation shows and read the glossy lifestyle magazines they decide that escaping from city life in Leeds could be the perfect way to escape the rat race.

So it’s off to the tranquil surroundings of the countryside.  It’s not long before the couple realise living a quiet existence in beautiful surroundings is not such a good idea after all.

Discovering that the house which they have bought is in a bad condition and they will have great difficulty in having it renovated is just the start.  The house isn’t just in bad condition it’s situated in what locals refer to as ‘The Dip’ – a place where internet  signals can’t reach, but floodwater can.

In fact, life in the countryside might just be a “bad move”.
