In Sickness And In Health – Christmas Special – 1985
In Sickness And In Health was the follow up series to the hugely successful Till Death Us Do Part. Following the success of the first series in 1985 a Christmas Special was produced. This would be the final episode to feature Else, played by Dandy Nichols, who sadly passed away in February 1986 prior to filming of a second series.
Summary
Christmas isn’t looking very festive for Alf, Else is in bed, Rita can’t make it for Christmas, his mates all abandon the pub for their families and he’s left with Marigold and a cheese sandwich. Happy Christmas!
Things get better when he attends the pensioner’s Christmas lunch organised by the local church with Else.
