Happy Birthday ITV!
It was 22nd September 1955 a new commercial TV channel first began broadcasting on our screens.
To many of a certain age, like the BBC, the shows we watch today are perhaps not as huge as they were in the day, with so much TV now audiences are smaller as they spread across a wider platform.
