Paul O’Grady, Thanks For The Laughs

Paul O’Grady, A Tribute

Sadly this week we lost the great Paul O’Grady.

A national treasure and certainly up there with the all time great entertainers such as Bruce Forsyth, Tommy Cooper and others.

Whilst Paul had worked hard like all the great entertainers on his trade it’s mark of just how good an entertainer he was that he didn’t rise to mainstream prominence until the 1990’s and to rise to the top in such a relatively short space of time.  Anyone who who listened to his weekly radio show howling with laughter as he made every day subjects funny, the antics of Elsie the mouse, his apologies for Malcom’s choice of music in the anniversary slot.

The nation will miss him.

In this tribute we are going to look back at his remarkable career.

It was after being nominated as Lily Savage for a Perrier Award that the star first came to mainstream attention.
