Another entertainment legend passes away, there are now few big name ventriloquists still entertaining audiences and it makes you think how much entertainment has changed over the years, but is it changing for the better?

Keith Harris had been a regular guest on many TV shows and even hosted The Black and White Minstral show for a spell.  In the 1970’s he had a TV show “Cuddles and Company” many had felt that the monkey was perhaps not family friendly enougth, so was born Orville the duck.

The character took off and in 1982 it was off to primetime Saturdays with the BBC.  Sitting in the primetime teatime slot that hosted such huge shows as: Doctor Who and The Generation Game, came The Keith Harris show.  The series ran for eight years.
