A forgotten game show
Les Dawson was a huge success on Blankety Blank but had less success with this sort lived game show.
Les Dawson’s Fast Friends was an adaptation of an unsold pilot produced for US television in 1984. The BBC picked the idea up and with Les Dawson as the host a series was produced and screened in 1991.
Despite the popularity of both the game show format and Les Dawson the series failed to connect with audiences and was cancelled after just one series. However it did manage fourteen shows.
Summary
Two contestants have to form a team of four new friends for a chance at playing for some major prizes. The loosing team got a fast friends address book.
