In March 2016, the BBC launched a season of sitcoms to celebrate 60 years since Hancock’s Half Hour was first broadcast on BBC TV.
The season got under way with a specialone off ‘live’ episode of the hugely popular Mrs Brown’s Boys. Creator and Mrs Brown herself Brendan O’ Carroll, comented ‘They’ve lost their minds!'”
Live it was, broadcast from the BBC studios in Glasgow, with no delay, which meant any swear words would be broadcast and indeed they were, but viewers loved it.
The show attracted overnight audiences of 6.5 million.
Summary
