Right Charlie was a popular kids TV show starring Blackpool Tower’s most famous clown: Charlie Cairoli.
Usually screened at 5.10pm on Fridays, the show gained Charlie Cairoli a host of new young fans and ran for twelve episodes over two series between 1972 and 1973.
Summary
Bringing the magic of Blackpool Tower Circus Ring from the Octagon Theatre in Bolton to the small screen, Charlie Cairoli and his troupe performed slapstick routines that normally you would only get to see in a Circus.
Cairoli would shout “Right children!” and the kids would shout back “Right Charlie!
