Unless you live on planet Mars it can’t have escaped your notice that the BBC has an anniversary to celebrate.  EastEnders may well have reached the grand old age of 30, but by and large it’s not had many laughs over the years, so someone joking in the office said we need to mention the landmark but what’s funny about EastEnders?

An ITV sitcom that lasted just one series of  six episodes in 1989.  It was intended as a vehicle for EastEnders actress Anita Dobson but failed to catch on with viewers.


Cath is a beautiful woman in her thirties, who runs a hairdresser’s shop. Each episode sees Cath trying to decide if she wants to be with Clint ( or David.
