From the creator of Men Behaving Badly came this Sunday night favourite that ran for 12 episodes over 2 series between 2003 and 2004.
Amongst it’s stars were Ken Morley of Coronation Street fame and Martin Freeman who went on to achieve international success with The Office and film roles such as The Hobbit.
The series was produced for ITV by Thames. The catchy theme tune is A Taste Of Honey by Herb Alpert’s Tijuana Brass.
Mike, student trainee Steve and Kenny make up the expert staff of Hamway’s Hardware Store, London – where the customer is rarely right.
They run the store under the watchful eye of their boss Rex, a man in the throes of a mid-life crisis, while respite and refreshment are provided by the nearby café run by Julie and Mike’s girlfriend, Anne; their relationship is occasionally stretched to breaking point by regular outbreaks of laddish behaviour, dangerous DIY and the occasional unwanted house-guest…
