Missing Dad’s Army Episode To Be Animated
As excitement builds towards the release of the new Dad’s Army film next month the BBC are to release missing Dads’s Army episode: A Stripe for Frazer as an animated version on their new digital service BBC Store.
The episode was last screened in 1969 and went missing along with two other episodes as many tapes of programmes from the era were either recorded over or discarded.
Using a high quality audio recording the BBC has now created an animated version of the story. The episode will be available from 4th February from the BBC Store.
The idea of course has been used to good effect by BBC Wordwide for a while now on their Doctor Who releases where like Dad’s Army and so many other shows episodes are missing. Should the idea work out you begin to wonder what other missing episodes could benefit?
