The Secret Diary Of Adrian Mole, 1985
The television version of Sue Townsend’s best selling book seems largely to have been forgotten, but was hugely popular at the time, so much so that a second series based on the follow up book “The Growing Pains of Adran Mole” was screened two years later in 1987.
One of the more memorable moments is the theme tune “Profoundly In Love With Pandora” by Ian Dury.
Summary
Adrian Mole is thirteen and three quarter year old teenager who keeps a diary of his daily life and inner most thoughts. The series in six parts follows the events recorded in his diary.
