Which Way To The War?

Which Way To The War? 1994

We’re having a look back at some of the lesser known works from some of comedy’s greatest writers.

Which Way to the War was David Croft’s only ITV sitcom and their last World War II themed sitcom.

Despite the previous success of the writers Which Way To The War? was not generally well received and after the screening of the pilot episode, plans for a full series were never developed.

Summary

In the Western Desert of World War Two, a party of British “Desert Rats” soldiers and a party of Australian soldiers are holed up in a remote building, when an ambulance of Italian “nurses” arrive.

The soldiers find themselves stranded and soon realise that the “nurses” are actually prositutes.
