Airing in 1988 it ran for 6 episodes on BBC Radio, the rights were successfully secured by Channel 4 who began broadcasting the TV version later the same year.
Whose Line Is It Anyway? Radio Series is noted for giving comedian and impressionist John Sessions his first big break.
Summary
A panel of four performers create characters, scenes and songs on the spot, in the style of short-form improvisation games.
Topics for the games were based on predetermined prompts from the host.
