And Mother Makes Three was produced by Thames Television for ITV and ran for four series between 1971 and 1973.  It polled number 96 joint with it’s spin off And Mother Makes Five in a BBC poll to find the nation’s favourite sitcom.

Summary

Wendy Craig plays recently widowed Sally Harrison, a Mother  trying to hold down a job as an assistant to Mr Campbell, a vet, whilst trying to bring up her two children: Simon and Peter,with her Aunt Flo trying to help.  She has an occasional love interest in the form of antique bookseller, widower David Redway, who has a daughter Jane.
