Bread, Christmas Special, 1988
Carla Lane’s hit sitcom had just completed it’s fourth series and was about to see two major cast changes in the form of Peter Howitt and Gilly Coman both leaving the series, they would be replaced from series 5 by Graham Bickley and Melanie Hill.
However before series 5 the original cast less Victor McGuire who had played Jack in the first 3 series (he returned in series 5) would gather one last time for the show’s first Christmas Special.
Summary
What is supposed to be a a honeymoon for Aveline and Oswald turns out to be a Boswell clan holiday to Rome.
With the DHSS notified the Boswells head for Italy. Their trip inspires some happy memories and new friendships and Nellie is especially happy to be in the Eternal City.
