Great Comic Characters – Snide
Over the years there have been many great comic characters that have not necessarily been the lead character. Last Of The Summer Wine’s Wally Batty is one of the great comic characters who was not the lead. Manuel in Fawlty Towers was another.
However as it’s 70 years since Hancock’s Half Hour this weekend we thought it would be good to go back to one of the very first such characters…Snide as portrayed by Kenneth Williams.
Whilst not always portraying Snide Williams would stay with Hancock’s Half Hour Radio Series almost until the end.
