As part of our series of posts looking at the changing face of entertainment over the last 70 years we came accross this little gem.
Les Dawson often referred to fellow comedian, Norman Evans as the inspiration for his much loved Ada character.
Norman Evans, was a Northern comedian/actor/writer who was very big in films and variety during the 1940’s and 1950’s.
The Norman Evans Show was a six part series broadcast by the BBC in 1956.
Norman Evans performs a variety of sketches in this six part TV series where episodes typically lasted 60 minutes.
These are clips we found of Norman Evans, but none of them originate from the series. However they serve as a tribute to this often forgotten performer.
