This Time with Alan Partridge, 2019
Steve Coogan returns as Alan Partridge in a spoof of current affairs programs such as Good Morning Britain and The One Show.
‘This Time with Alan Partridge’ was a return to the BBC for the comedian after an absence of eighteen years.
The six part show made it’s debut early in 2019 and was generally well received. In February of 2020 a second series was confirmed for later in 2020, although with the advent of Covid 19, filming has yet to begin, although Steve Coogan has said filming will begin this year.
For the new series Coogan is joined by Alan Partridge regulars Tim Key and Felicity Montagu reprising their roles as Simon Denton and Partridge’s assistant Lynn Benfield respectively.
Summary
Alan Partridge, becomes the stand-in presenter of This Time after the regular co-host falls ill. He is joined by co-host Jennie Gresham.
