Afternoon Plus was a daytime magazine show that was seen as a more serious alternative to the BBC’s Pebble Mill magazine show.
It had began life in 1971 in a teatime slot, it moved timeslots to 2.30 becoming ‘Good Afternoon’ in 1972, then Afternoon Plus in 1979.
It’s an edition of Afternoon plus from 1980 that this post covers. In it legendary comic Frankie Howerd is interviewed alongside Kenny Everett.
