It’s bank holiday and as we all contemplate a day out we are looking at some of those classic comedy excursions.
For today’s post we are going back 50 years (no theme parks in those days) with the original terrible trio Blamire, Clegg and Compo.
Pate and Chips was the third episode of the series one at the time it was inconceivable that the show would run for 37 years.

Summary
Blamire, Clegg and Compo decide to visit a local Stately Home with Compo’s nephew, Chip, and his family.
As you might expect things don’t quite go according to plan. After a trip in Chip’s claustrophobic van, the trio are left to look after the children.
Visitors to the home expecting the duke and duchess are left disappointed with the entry of Compo and Chip’s dog instead. The antics lead to the trio been thrown out.
