Sunday Lunch – Alf Style

In Sickness And In Health, Series 2, Episode 4

As it’s Sunday we thought let’s find something traditional for a Sunday other than Church that’s had the comedy treatment.

Vividly remembering watch Alf Garnett walking through a supermarket drinking a can of lager we tracked the scene down to the fourth episode of series 2.

This was the first series without Else and neighbour Mrs Hollingbery was beginning to play a more prominent part in the series.

Summary

It’s Sunday and Alf is finding it hard to adjust to the fact that everyone else is having Sunday lunch without him.

In true Alf Garnett style he gets himself very annoyed and so decides to make his first trip to the Supermarket for the first time, with hilarious consequences.

At home with his provisions Alf  attempts to cook his own Sunday lunch, even-though he can’t cook.
