It has been announced that Jeremy Lloyd, probably best known as co-author and writer of several successful British sitcoms, including Are You Being Served? and ‘Allo ‘Allo! has died aged 84 from pneumonia. The announcement was made 23rd December 2014. He died in hospital yesterday evening. We will run a full profile in the New Year. So few of the people behind the all time great sitcoms are no longer with us, but their work continues to delight whole new audiences.
Mammy Will Be Back
Recent reports suggested that there wouldn’t be another series of the hit show, Mrs Brown’s Boys. However Speaking to the Irish Mirror Star Brendan O’ Carroll said: “It’s between the two. You’ve Universal saying, ‘We want a movie’ and then you’ve BBC saying, ‘We want another series’.
