Deep Trouble, 2005

Whilst classic BBC Radio Comedy The Navy Lark went above water Deep Trouble went below.

Deep water ran for two series totalling eight episodes between 2005 and  2007.

A TV version destined for BBC 2 was  briefly considered but did not come to fruition the reason given that the show’s style of comedy worked better on the radio.

The year is 2012,and we are aboard HMS Goliath, a Royal Navy stealth nuclear submarine.

Deep Trouble follows the trials and tribulations of the submarine’s chaotic crew, underneath their inept commanding officer, Captain Paul Wade.
