Harry Enfield had been enjoying a short break away from our TV screens when he signed a new contract with then satellite broadcaster BskyB. However during his time with the broadcaster produced just one series: “Harry Enfield’s Brand Spanking New Show”
Only one series of 12 episodes was made with the comic admitting later, in 2010, that he had not given the series his full attention as he was pre-occupied editing the movie Kevin and Perry Go Large at the same time as the show’s production, so the show suffered as a result.
It would be another seven years before Enfield returned with another sketch show.
Summary
Harry Enfield returns to TV screens with his brand new sketch show, introducing us to a host of new characters including a tactless pharmacist, a Cornish ladies man and of course Richard and Kenneth who are well with it.
