Only Fools And Horses On ‘Harty’, Christmas 1983

A special one off sketch recorded in 1983 for Russell Harty’s Christmas show, which at the time was called ‘Harty’.

It’s Christmas and the trotters are skint, but Del isn’t about to tell Rodney and Grandad.  Instead he tells Rodney and Grandad they are going to spend Christmas in a hotel by the sea.

Arriving at the hotel we join the Trotters as they arrive at the hotel restaurant, there’s just one problem it’s nowhere near the sea.  Del admits they are skint and he has read in the Radio Times that Russell Harty is having hs Christmas party here.  He plans to mingle with the big wigs in order that they get a free slap up Christmas meal that he summises will be part of the party.

Del then plans to leave and head back to Peckham for a Christmas rendez vous with  a croupier he met at he casino, leaving Rodney and Grandad at the hotel.
