Only Fools And Horses – The Final Series

Only Fools And Horses, Series 7, 1990

Whilst we celebrate Only Fools And Horses at 40 it’s also worth remembering it’s also been thirty years since the seventh and as it would turn out the final regular series of Only Fools And Horses finished.

Series six had become the most popular series of the show with such classic episodes as ‘Yuppy Love’ and Danger UXD’ that had ended in February 1989.  There was the annual festive special, but fans would wait a year before the show returned.

After the annual Christmas Special on Christmas day, Only Fools And Horses fans had an additional treat.  The wait was over, Series seven began broadcasting on the 30th December 1990.

Running for six episodes it was to have been the final outing for the Trotters as Rodney was now married, Del settled with Raquel and in the final episode the arrival of a son for Del.

However the series did continue with an annual Christmas Special until it took another break in 1993.

Summary

The Trotters are back for six more classic instalments.

Beginning with Del hatching a plot to re-unite Rodney and Cassandra, resulting in the usual Trotter chaos, through Raquel deciding to revive her stage career with Del’s help.  Remember the classic “Cwying” duet? An unwelcome return of now ex-copper: Roy Slater.  Uncle Albert has some explaining to do over a blackeye.

Going out in style we witness the birth, in true Trotter style, of Del’s son “Damien”
